A few of you might remember that I’ve recently joined Nokia. I’ve been toiling away in front of my laptop getting all the little things just right, finding the perfect work flow and now I’m ready to spread the word about the S60 Ambassador Program.
What is it?
Simple. Chances are you already talk about your S60 powered mobile phone (N95 or N82 for example) and evangelize it to your friends, family, strangers and even get into gang fights with iPhone users. We want to harness those experiences by having you tell us what exactly happened, where it happened, when it happened, what was said and any other pieces of information you think will help Nokia spread their message about S60 more effectively to the mass market. You’re the people who already know the N95 inside and out, telling you what makes S60 rock would be like preaching to the choir, this program is all about getting the word out to the people who might not know about all the amazing things a mobile phone is capable of or don’t even know about S60 powered products in general.
Ricky from Symbian Guru, my friend, is also my colleague. We both file your reports, he handles the Americas, I do the EU, MENA and APAC (and any other part of the world that isn’t North or South America). The more reports you send us the more points you get, the more points you get the better chance you have of winning prizes. I know some of you are going to want to do this for the prizes, but from experience I know there is a large passionate community of S60 users out there who just get frustrated when they see people with archaic handsets who have yet to realize the potential of having a real piece of technology with them at all times.
