WMExperts reviews the SOny Ericsson XPERIA x1While the rest of us XPERIA X1 fans are eagerly waiting to get our hands on a review unit, or any unit for that matter, WMExperts has managed to score their very own Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1! They flagship XPERIA superphone from Sony Ericsson will be powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and will sport:

  • Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900Mhz)
  • HSDPA/HSUPA
  • WiFi
  • Bluetooth
  • aGPS
  • 3.2 Megapixel Camera
  • 1500 mAH Battery
  • Qualcomm’s MSM7200A CPU, 528Mhz
  • 800×480 resolution Touchscreen
  • MicroSD for expansion
  • MiniUSB
  • 3.5mm headset jack for music
  • 110 x 53 x 16.7 mm
  • 145 grams

From WMExperts‘ impressions of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, the upcoming superphone from Sony Ericsson is an incredible entry into the world of Windows Mobile. There’s not much other than the size of the keyboard that is cumbersome or not amazing in any way.

I had a chance to actually hold the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 in my hands for a quick photo-op at CTIA Las Vegas 2008, but I didn’t manage to actually play with the device for any appreciable length of time. I didn’t think my few minutes of playtime warranted a full post, so I’m glad the guys at WMExperts got to review this beauty in full. I can personally attest to the “butter smooth” sliding mechanism on the XPERIA X1. The keys are a joy to use, but the keyboard is a bit wide and will likely be a problem for some smaller-handed geeks out there.

Flash Lite will come pre-installed, this is Windows Mobile 6.1 and Microsoft made it a point to let the press know that the version of Flash Lite in Windows Mobile 6.1 will be the only mobile Flash solution to play full desktop Flash.

Head on over to WMExperts for the full review.
