Want to control your TiVo from your iPhone or iPod Touch? Now you can do that thanks to the new application called (no surprise here) TiVoRemote. The application is compiled by TiVo Community Forum‘s member “Duckfin” and is still in the “quick and dirty” phase, hence user interface could use some polishing. After all, it should work on your beautiful phone/media player.
Installation is, as expected, quite simple. Simply add “http://tivoremote.googlecode.com/svn/www/repo.xml” to your Installer.app sources and click on TiVoRemote in the “Toys” category. Voila, you’re ready to go. Or that’s you’re ready to stay in the couch even longer and let machines do the work for you. Next in line – Roomba remote for the iPhone.
Finally, in case you care to know more, there’s Google Code page for the iPhone TiVo Remote app.
