iPhone vs BlackBerry Bold

Even though we still wait to see RIM and AT&T officially making the Bold available, some people (John Mayer) are already getting the first units. Folks from CrackBerry.com are also among the selected few who got the chance to try out the new Canadian smartphone before the rest of us.

Dieter Bohn from their sister site, The iPhone Blog, got a chance to play with the Bold as well, and he used the opportunity to compare it with his phone of choice — you guessed correctly, it’s the iPhone. The end result is reflected in tons of images, comparing size, UI, web browser, and of course media capabilities. I’m sure you can tell in which areas iPhone excelled and where BlackBerry won the title.

The short comparison is available on The iPhone Blog and so are all the images. The 9-minute long video comparing the two devices follows after the jump.

Dusan has been using smartphones since their introduction and is now following the latest trends in the industry. The "convergence" is what he's most excited about, and writing about it is the next logical thing to do. He thinks that using a smartphone is what everyone who cares about their time should do. In addition to his interests in mobile phones, Dusan also loves to experiment with the latest web and mobile 2.0 services. The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application. Dusan used to run SymbianWatch.com which later became part of IntoMobile. He lives in Serbia, South-East Europe, from where he edits the site on a daily basis.

    Pimp,

Not one thing you wrote is remotely close to a fact. “Blackberry” is also a brand name no matter how many times you want to talk to your grandma. The reason iphones are so popular is because they already had a pre-exisiting fan base of fanboys that dream about apple 24/7. You diehards would have bought a sac of potates if that’s what apple came out with. Open your mind a little and pull your iphone out of your #$%

UMM…IF I’M NOT MISTAKEN, IPHONE ISN’T THE BRAND NAME – APPLE IS. SO STICK THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT.
