Texting while riding your motorcycle can be fun, dangerous

We obviously don’t condone any activity that would put yours or the lives of your fellow commuters in danger. That being said, this footage of some idiot nonchalantly lounging on his bike while using his mobile phone (presumably to send out an SMS text message) really drives home the need for laws prohibiting the use of mobile phones on the road.

Like most laws, prohibitions on cellphone use while behind the wheel (or handle-bars, as in this particular case) of a motor vehicle have been crafted to protect us from the lowest common denominator. Sure, most of us can safely use our mobiles while driving, but the small percentage of you out there that can’t do it safely (you know who you are), well, you’ve ruined it for the rest of us.
