Pantech Matrix coming to AT&T

Dusan has been using smartphones since their introduction and is now following the latest trends in the industry. The "convergence" is what he's most excited about, and writing about it is the next logical thing to do. He thinks that using a smartphone is what everyone who cares about their time should do. In addition to his interests in mobile phones, Dusan also loves to experiment with the latest web and mobile 2.0 services. The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application. Dusan used to run SymbianWatch.com which later became part of IntoMobile. He lives in Serbia, South-East Europe, from where he edits the site on a daily basis.

  I absolutley LOVE this phone! I just got it yesterday! Intentionally I was going to get the duo (even though I didnt like the fact that the battery died fast, the keypad was hard to text with, and the style wasn’t all that =/ ) So when I seen the Matrix (which I had no idea about) it was like Heaven. The matrix covers up all the Duo’s glitches. Not to mention it’s pretty hot, and slides smoothly.
  I would definetly reccomend this.

  I ordered my Pantech Matrix off of AT&T website and I should receive it in two days! I can’t wait! When I saw it was out, I FLIPPED! It’s everything I’ve been complaining AT&T doesn’t have! I wanted a phone that was based around texting, and here it is! woo!

  got this phone a few days ago its so new they have no accessories for it but i love it and the battery last longer than 3 hours…texting is awesome and quick you can assign ringtone memory slot its great finally am happy with a phone trust me been thru all of them lol if your thinking about it GET IT!!!! receptions is great also…

  omg this phone is awesomee!! the 3g internet access will rok ur sox as well as the messaging! i got it about a month ago, and i love it!! The only thing is that u have to be careful when u slide to the texting pad, because i slid to it and it broke!! its an awesome yet very delicate phone! u guys shud get it!

  I got this phone yesterday and so far i love it yes its a little bulky but is stylish looking and has great features def an improvment from duo I text alot like 100′s a day and the battery at 1pm is still fully charged
  Feels sturdy and the slide mech is smooth and changes from screen mode to landscape quickly
  I also love having the reg cell keypad for texting or dialing with one hand if needed…very hard to do if you dont have a reg keypad so that does come in handy
  Has a combo charging/headset port so im not impressed with that but for the price its a steal 79.99
  Beats all the pda phones on battery life by far
  Speaker sounds great, ringtones are loud and a plus is i use my cell as an alarm clock and you can power the matrix off and it will power up itself when your alarm clock goes off…nice added feature
  Has pretty much everything a pda does except windows mobile….has gps/xm/tv/internet

  So id get it is youve been thinking about it

  i first was going to get th duo but i saw this phone and its to die forr.
  i have a crappy razor and im gettin this phone soon. I always loved slide phones, and ones with a keypad and this has both. not to mention im a big texter, and i loveeee ringtones, and the internet.

I love the dual slide it keeps you real busy. i have no coplaints, the fully enjoy the features of the phone you have to pick the required plans that will allow you to.   I am a very heavy texter. I hardly ever talk on the phone I am always texting. This phone is awesome. I couldn’t be happier. Originally I went to Radio Shack the other night to get the LG shine but thanks to the clerk at the store he asked me some questions and i answered them and he suggested I get the Pantech Matrix I love the fact that you have a choice to text with the regular number pad or the slide out keyboard. Also the camera is awesome and so is the video camera, and voice recorder. I send and all kinds of picture, video and voice mesages to my friends every day and they just love getting them and they are so glad I got this phone too. I love the at&t Navigator too, I use it everyday. I had no clue about this phone until the guy at radio shack told me about it I wish i knew about it b4 but at least I got it now so thats all that matters.

  This Phone is badly made and should be recalled. My brother just got this phone less than a week ago and it already broke. (The slider broke free on one side.) ATT won’t replace them or take them back. I have been researching and have found many others with similar problems. The concept is great, but the actual product is mechanically DEFECTIVE.

  I hate the matrix had one the slider came off returned it and the next slider came off now i have to deal with a broken phone for two days because the Manager is not it………so not happy with this phone dont waste your money..most of what i am reading is that it is the green and black ones that break and thats what i have..DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

  I have had mine for 3 months no problems. I thought the silly breaking apart thing wouldn’t happen to me and the other people were doing something extreme and out of the ordinary. I went to dinner one night and pulled out my Pantech matrix. Just as I slid it open one side collapsed leaving the other side sagging down and useless. The main point is DO NOT GET THIS PHONE I AM WARNING YOU IT WILL BREAK AFTER A WHILE THIS IS NOT A JOKE SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE IT IS FOR REAL!!!!!!!! THIS WILL HAPPEN!!!   Ive had this phone since christmas of ’08 and at first i wanted this phone sooooo badly but just a couple weeks ago the slider broke free on one side and theres a sticker by the battery that turns pink when wet and if its pink the warranty wont work with it.. it is a really nice phone but you have to BE CAREFUL WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  even though it broke free on one side it still works..
  i do love it but dont get too over excited over it.
