As we all know, Apple had set a goal of spreading the iPhone to 70 countries around the world. They’re getting closer and closer. Last week the iPhone made it to Latvia and Lithuania, and this week they’ve added a few more countries. The iPhone is now for sale in Brazil, South Africa and Turkey.

Vivo and Claro are carrying the iPhone in Brazil. In turkey, the iPhone is carried by Vodafone and Turkcell. Last but not least, in South Africa you can pick up an iPhone on Vodacom. Since each of these countries has their own unique deal with Apple, expect unique and different deals to be had at the carrier as well.

So, Apple now has roughly 24 countries left on their list. They’re getting there. Can they do it by the end of 2008???
