HTC Rose S740 FCC labelThe HTC S740 (codename: Rose) has just popped up its pretty little head on the FCC website. If you’ll recall, the HTC S740 Rose is the latest HTC Windows Mobile smartphone to extend HTC’s new HTC Touch design aesthetic. But, unlike the HTC Touch Diamond, the HTC S740 Rose forgoes the VGA touchscreen for a hybrid keypad/keyboard slider form-factor. With GPS, WiFi, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and most of the HTC Touch Diamond‘s feature-set, the HTC S740 is definitely a nice option for those of you with a need for both a numeric keypad and slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The HTC S740 has just garnered FCC approval on its way to the US. Unfortunately, this particular variant of the HTC Rose sports US frequency support only in its quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE radio – no 3G support in the US, folks. But, keep your hopes up, we might just see the FCC playing with an HTC Rose with US 3G support in the near future.
