Yesterday T-Mobile Germany gave us a glimpse of the BlackBerry 8900, successor to the Curve line, and now it’s time for a closer look. There’s not much new here, but it does give a good idea of the BlackBerry 8900′s layout, including the considerably busier right side and switch to microUSB format. You can also see the Javelin’s heritage between both the BlackBerry Curve and the BlackBerry Bold – slim form and a well-spaced keypad, but nice big screen and the latest OS. The 8900 also reaches into the past to get some keyboard hints from the 8700, but also hints towards the future with a newly redesigned top section and lock key. Overall, the 8900 promises to be a nice iteration to the BlackBerry Curve while offering up a few new twists.

In exploring RIM’s platform, he has learned what enterprises are looking for in mobility as well as what makes the innocuous BlackBerry so appealing to them.
