We did knew Opera Software will push its mobile browser beyond Windows Mobile and make it available for the Symbian UIQ3 smartphone owners as well. Today that happened and now owners of such Sony Ericsson smartphones as P1, W960, G700 and G900 can download the first beta version of the browser. Widget support is included in the package!

In the other news, Windows Mobile owners can grab the beta 2 of Opera Mobile 9.5 which, like the UIQ version, also includes support for widgets. At the same time, Opera has released an updated Opera Widgets SDK that now includes a developer version of Opera Widgets for Symbian S60, and an updated widgets.opera.com website with several mobile-optimized widgets.

Hopefully we’ll see the full, non-beta version of Opera Mobile released till the end of the year. That’s for both Windows Mobile and Symbian UIQ. In the meantime, hop over to download page the latest betas.
