WorldMate has recently unveiled a new brand identity and the biggest upgrade of their WorldMate Live mobile app/service.

I won’t discuss the new brand identity here — let the designers do that — it’s the WorldMate Live that’s on my radar. The newly revamped application is “significantly improved” in terms of usability and now includes a new home screen featuring a contextual dashboard based on users’ travel behavior, and a “carousel” display and navigation of all WorldMate Live’s services. Mentioned services include hotel booking, itinerary manager, and other relevant tools like real-time flight status updates; maps and directions to hotel, meetings and airport; and weather forecasts.

In a nutshell, it’s a must have app for every frequent traveller out there who users either BlackBerry or Windows Mobile powered smartphone. WorldMate Live allows users to easily create, plan and manage their entire itinerary, as well as access critical real-time information related to their travel schedule. It has been downloaded by more than 1.5 million users during the past 12 months.
