It sure is convenient having all your iPhone and iPhone 3G‘s data backed up through iTunes, isn’t it? But those iPhone backup files would be even more useful if you could actually extract them and view them on your computer.

Enter the iPhone Backup Extractor application for Mac OS X Leopard.

The application was created by Mac developer Pádraig. In an effort to extract and analyze iPhone backups without all the hassle of going through the command line, iPhone Backup Extractor was born.

If the iPhone developer in you just has to see what the iPhone backup files actually look like, head on over to supercrazyawesome.com (that’s gotta be the best domain name ever) and give it a go!
