Flip me 3 times. Go on, you know you want to.

Flip me 3 times. Go on, you know you want to.

You might be wondering whether a triple-flip is needed, and that’s a reasonable question – and one that The Medical Phone Ltd is going to answer.

The genesis of this device apparently has it’s roots in the Emergency arena – and that’s why an application is loaded on-board that helps out in Emergency situations – ICE being “In Case of Emergency” – aha, now you’re getting it!

Also. there is a STACK of stuff on-board this device, making it work as a micro-notebook, 3G touchphone, Games player, and Sat Nav – not forgetting the aforementioned Emergency app.

The specs include the following:

  • GSM Quadband 850/900/1800/1900, GPRS/EDGE
  • 7.2 Mbps HSDPA UMTS 2100 connectivity
  • Freescale iMX31 532 Mhz CPU
  • 3? 240×400 px 65K color transflective TFT touchscreen
  • Windows Mobile 6.0 Pro OS
  • 3.1 mpx camera with autofocus and LED flash
  • Built-in GPS
  • Wi-Fi b/g
  • 1250 mAh battery
  • Dimensions: 127×60.8×23.3 mm
  • Weight: 210 g

… and apparently it’s going to hit the UK middle of next year! Seems like a LOT of tech to get in one device, and get it right first time. This one’s going to be interesting, as and when it comes out.

There is also mentioned a Military version on The Medical Phone Ltd website – now THAT’S the one I want to get hold of!

As a result he has a broad and deep knowledge in numerous areas of Mobile – from network operators to device vendors, to infrastructure and middleware vendors (not to mention content delivery) – and has worked for companies in all of these areas! He is based in the UK, a hotbed of activity for mobile, and recently became a father for the second time – as oppose to in his younger years when he was happy spend time tweaking all manner of mobile devices to 'nth' degree, he now looks for services and hardware that provide the most efficient, compact, and reliable improvements to his already manic life! It’s his opinion that Mobile solutions should be there to help to make your life better – if a particular solution (be it service or device) isn’t doing this, he believes you need to ask the very important question of why you continue to use it... His focus at IntoMobile is mainly on Mobile content, services, and infrastructure, particularly as regards the UK market – and with the occasional look at devices. Additionally, using his extensive experience in the industry, he will provide commentary on the industry at large, with regular (and hopefully thought-provoking) articles.
