Telus BlackBerry Storm from Future Shop

Those Canadians who haven’t been turned off by reviews and are still holding out for RIM’s first touchscreen BlackBerry can now get in the virtual line and preorder the Telus BlackBerry Storm through Future Shop for $649.99 off contract, and estimated to ship on December 18th. We’re hearing that some OS updates are on the way soon to polish over choppy performance, so hopefully the Canadian handset will see some slightly more favourable reactions than Verizon’s. A few lucky souls have managed to get their hands on prerelease versions, and everything seems to have been running relatively smoothly. Before you get too excited and start plans to get rich on eBay thanks to short supply, Future Shop is limiting preorders to one per household. That’s a hint that stock will be equally shy in Canada as well…
