BlackBerry Storm Updates En Route

Verizon BlackBlackBerry Storm

It seems like another update to the BlackBerry Storm OS is about to go out, as Vodafone has already released version .78, Bell accidentally released .76 yesterday then pulled it, and there are rumours abound of Verizon offering .75 publicly today. If as much progress is made with this patch as the last, then the Storm’s reputation might be amply repaired in time for the holidays. A Canadian release of the BlackBerry 9530 is roughly two weeks away, and it’s really key that they get it right this time if Bell and Telus want to avoid the same PR issues that Verizon did. In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising to see one more software update before the Storm hits shelves in order to ensure the OS is smooth as butter.

In exploring RIM’s platform, he has learned what enterprises are looking for in mobility as well as what makes the innocuous BlackBerry so appealing to them.
