HTC Touch Diamond lands on Cellular South

Cellular South has announced that HTC Touch Diamond — which is also known as the European Smartphone of the Year for 2008-2009 — is now part of their portfolio. The all-touchscreen Windows Mobile smartphone is available in all Cellular South retail locations and online, through the carrier’s website. The price, you ask? It’s $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate, and with a two-year voice contract and a one-year data agreement.

By now you probably already know everything about the Diamond. Let me sum it up quickly: it comes with 2.8-inch VGA (640×480 pixels) touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi connectivity, accelerometer (for screen auto-rotation), GPS receiver, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 4 GB of internal storage, and enough RAM to handle multi-tasking properly. Windows Mobile 6.1 with HTC’s very own TouchFLO 3D UI is running the show…
