Nokia keeps experimenting with form factors. Dual-slider was first unveiled on their N95 model and we liked it. However, what we have here today is an awkward idea, to say the least. As you can see from the image above, the device that is discussed in Nokia’s latest patent sports large portrait touchscreen that is partly hidden under the full QWERTY keyboard. You can swivel the touchscreen and use it in its full glory in landscape mode. Looks interesting and quite useful, although I doubt we’ll see something like this being released anytime soon. For one thing, it looks expensive to make. On the other hand, no other handset maker can pull this out. With their great supply chain and logistics, Nokia may be the only one player which could make such a device and actually make some money off of it. It’s still in a “patent phase,” but we’ll certainly watch every move they make… ;)
