Telus Multimedia Services Make it to BlackBerry

Telus offers a service called SPARK, which brings radio, mobile TV, music, games and more to select handsets. Now BlackBerrys can get in on the fun, even the BlackBerry Storm in the near future. Pricing will be around:

  • Mobile Music: $1.99 per PC or Mobile download
  • Mobile Radio
    • $8/month for 15 channels
    • $15/month for 50 channels
  • The Mobile TV: $15/month

XM Radio and MobiTV are powering the services, but these only scratch the surface of what SPARK could be offering BlackBerry users. It’s a step in the right direction to get folks out of the idea that BlackBerrys are just for work, and supporting the Storm sooner than later will only help to break that misconception.
