The KODAK Gallery App for iPhone and iPod Touch

Various reports around the web tipped me off to a new iPhone application that should be a goodie.

The KODAK Gallery iPhone app lets you keep your collection of photos safe and secure… But at its core, the app is simply another photo sharing application. Upload your photos from your iPhone to the KODAK Gallery… and you can even view and share them online with family and friends. View uploaded pics as a slide show, or shake your device to mix up the pictures for random viewing. All of the usual controls apply while within the KODAK app as well. Tap photos to view, pinch to zoom in/out, and rotate your device to view pics in landscape or portrait. No surprises here.

Perhaps the ultimate purpose of the app from KODAK’s point of view is the ‘buy prints’ option. After you’ve created a free account and upload some pics… You have the option to go ahead and order prints from KODAK. Genius I tells you! KODAK is trying as hard as possible to make it ultra easy to snap, share and buy prints all from the palm of your hand, and by the looks of things so far it seems as though they’ve done a half decent job.

US readers, you can go ahead and download the KODAK Gallery App right here. (iTunes Link Alert!)

The only shame with this new app? It’s not available in the Canadian App Store. Big surprise, right? For all of the UK readers out there, I’d be curious to know if the app is available in your store or not. Leave a comment and let me know!
