ScreenSnap is a free screenshot-taking application that works on Symbian S60 5th edition

Need to take a screenshot on your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic? Most, if not all, existing S60 apps won’t work except ScreenSnap. It’s a free application which may lack some functionalities will do the job if properly set.

Let’s first discuss the flaws. First of all, some advanced features are lacking like delayed and interval capturing. In addition, ScreenSnap fails to detect the screen orientation, meaning that you have to start it over and over with every screen orientation change. And since the Tube comes with built-in accelerometer which enables auto-rotation, this can be quite annoying.

As for the good side, as I mentioned above the application is free and it WILL work with the Symbian S60 5th edition-powered device. Shortcut key is configurable and so is the destination directory and filename…
