Following on from a post I wrote a couple of weeks back, I thought I’d re-look at what comments had been made – and wow – quite a few by the looks of things:

Dan Ward said: I wouldn’t necessarily ask if it’s not very stable, but rather if it’s stable at all.

Jim McCabe said: Sometimes it seems to completely lose its connection to the server. After that point, you need to restart the app.

Ed said: I’ve noticed the app to hang up quite often where it becomes unresponsive and has to be restarted.

Of course, to present a balanced view, Fonz said: I am happy with the app, it doesn’t cause any more problems than any other app i use

On balance though, I think it’s fair to say that many people have noticed issues with the App, from the unreliable date-stamping of posts, through to contact/messages disappearing as you scroll through them, to the App crashing.

As I mentioned before, it’s frustrating because it’s a very popular and otherwise well thought-out App. Can we have a fix please Facebook?

As a result he has a broad and deep knowledge in numerous areas of Mobile – from network operators to device vendors, to infrastructure and middleware vendors (not to mention content delivery) – and has worked for companies in all of these areas! He is based in the UK, a hotbed of activity for mobile, and recently became a father for the second time – as oppose to in his younger years when he was happy spend time tweaking all manner of mobile devices to 'nth' degree, he now looks for services and hardware that provide the most efficient, compact, and reliable improvements to his already manic life! It’s his opinion that Mobile solutions should be there to help to make your life better – if a particular solution (be it service or device) isn’t doing this, he believes you need to ask the very important question of why you continue to use it... His focus at IntoMobile is mainly on Mobile content, services, and infrastructure, particularly as regards the UK market – and with the occasional look at devices. HA HA HA HA!!! I’ve been trying on the Facebook app page on Facebook since the first few days after the new version of the app was released and nothing. I think the developer is gone…

It’s a free app; you get what you pay for. Get over it.

I know it’s a free app but it’s driving me crazy at how much it crashes! I”d be willing to pony up a few dollars for a better product that’s stable. Please Fix soooon!!!

  • James

Crashed on me constantly. I can’t even remember the last time I closed it on my own. I have to open it 8 or 9 times just to read status messages. Free isn’t an excuse to put out shit code.

Facebook 2.1 is now available and it seems to fix the instability issues
