If you’ve been waiting and praying for that rumored replacement battery for your T-Mobile G1, your wait might be over soon. A new report from TMONews has noted that one user has already received a replacement battery for their T-Mobile G1 device. The new battery comes with 22% more ‘juice’. The new 1400mAh battery (an improvement from the stock 1150mAh battery that shipped with the device) can be used with the original battery door because there is no size increase at all! Good!
I’m a little cautious about confirming this… As TMONews can/has only confirmed one user has received a replacement battery at this point. Lets wait to see if more folks step up to let us know they have received a replacement as well. I would suspect we’ll know shortly if this is true or not. Stay tuned!
