Sony Ericsson is bringing the so called PlayNow Kiosks to its retail stores to Pacific Asia. Apparently, visitors to more than 80 company’s stores in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore can use these kiosks to download some free mobile content — including movies, games, music and ringtones — to their Sony Ericsson handsets.

The move is obviously designed to spread the word about Swedish-Japanese handset maker’s brand among the citizens of the mentioned three countries. In addition, PlayNow Kiosks could entice more people to visit Sony Ericsson’s stores and potentially increase the sales of handsets and accessories.

I wonder will they [Sony Ericsson] also bring PlayNow Kiosks to other parts of the world, as well. We’ll keep our eyes wide open and inform you as soon as we find out something more…
