If you own the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and love sketching and painting, you’ll be glad to know Nokia released application called Mobile Paint allowing users with Symbian S60 5th Edition-powered smartphones to enjoy painting on the go.

Although it’s far from Photoshop or some other powerful photo editing software, Mobile Paint can certainly help you “do your magic” with basic features, hence turning your touchscreen device into a drawing pad.

It [the application] can do precise drawing with the line and shape tool, but unfortunately you’ll not be able to fill-in the shapes. In addition, undo is limited to a single step.

However, I must add the idea here is not to replace your desktop photo editing software — rather, Nokia wanted to show all the possibilities of their touchscreen enabled platform.

Download is available from here. The ZIP file contains two installation files as there are two toolbar options – one with fixed and the other one with custom, movable toolbar. I’m all for the latter version…
