It’s never fun when you have to recall something. All of that time into R&D, production and marketing… and then, oops… ‘Can we have that back please?’. That’s exactly what LG had to do today, announcing the voluntary recall of 45,000 LG 150 devices.

The recall is confined to Canada, and the reason for the recall is described here by Health Canada:

“The LG 150 mobile phone is no longer certified as meeting the Radio Standards Specifications 102 (RSS 102), Radio Frequency Exposure Compliance of Radiocommunication Apparatus.”

So who sold the LG 150? Bell Mobility, Virgin Mobile, MTS Allstream, SaskTel, Aliant Mobility, KMTS, NorthernTel, Sogetel, Télébec and TBayTel. You know, not that many carriers :P

If you have an LG 150 and purchased through one of the carriers listed above, you have until March 31st, 2009 to have the device replaced at no cost. Contact your carrier for more information. If you’re on Bell, you can call 1-866-282-6077 or visit bell.ca/lg150recall for help.
