fennecIf you’ve been waiting for Firefox Mobile (aka Fennec) to hit Android, you might be up for a little bit of a wait. The development team over at Mozilla want to build in as many of the familiar features that we’ve come to love into the mobile browser as well.

From a higher-up at Mozilla:

“The BlackBerry platform is basically a Java environment that they expose to application developers, and we’re not written in Java, so that’s tricky. The same is true for Android, so you won’t see our mobile browser on Android for the moment”

Hurry up and wait is basically what I get from that statement. Hopefully Fennec does make an appearance for BlackBerry and Android, but I’d rather Mozilla work out all the kinks before release.
