verizon-lg-versa-unboxing-3The LG Versa and its detachable keyboard weren’t expected to go live until March 1st. But, it seems the LG Versa never got that memo. In fact, we stumbled across these unboxing pics of the Verizon Wireless-bound LG Versa, leading us to hope that Big Red might let loose their modular touchscreen handset before the end of the month.

In case you’ve forgotten, the LG Versa will hit Verizon as a slim and fit slate-based touchscreen handset, unburdened by space-filling speakers, keyboards, and the like. The trick to making the Versa a fully-functional mobile phone lies in its detachable accessory modules. A detachable keyboard quickly turns the petite LG Versa into a messaging powerhouse. A stereo speaker module and GPS navigation module are expected to add even more functionality to the LG Versa, while still keep it light on its feet.

Verizon should be ready to go with the LG Versa by March 1. But, keep an eye out for an early-launch surprise!
