BeamME has just released a pro version of their contact-swapping app, now including location awareness. They boast that using their app, you can send your contact information to any device without needing downloads or subscriptions, which is a definite plus. Dub is also featuring location-awareness in its app, so we’re starting see a trend in the area. Some of their selling points include “no ads”, which one presumes the standard version has, and “minimal” branding. See, that bugs me just a bit – I don’t want to be looking at a watermark every time I look someone up on my phone. Yeah, sure, brand awareness is one thing, but if someone is actually using their app, that should be enough; constantly reminding them of the fact doesn’t do any good. Still, if you’re shopping for some contact management on the iPhone, you can pick up beamME Pro for $4.99 from iTunes.
