Shape Services’ IP video surveillance app available in the AppStore for $0.99

Shape Services just informed me that their IP video surveillance software, Mobiscope, is now available in the Apple AppStore for $0.99. Aside from supporting wide choice of IP network cameras from more than 50 manufacturers, Mobiscope allows users to:

  • View live, full motion video from their IP network camera (the next version will also include support for any webcam connected to a computer even through proxy/firewall)
  • Watch any public webcam streaming places of interest worldwide.
  • Get motion detection alerts via email.
  • Watch up to 4 IP cameras simultaneously.

Other features include:

  • Easy camera control: Start/finish and play back the recordings.
  • Motion detection.
  • Zoom In and Zoom Out.
  • Customized scheduling to start or end the recordings.

    Funny how a similar app for Windows Mobile/Blackberry/Android called Total Control, from Intelligent Designs Group costs $80 (for the 4 camara package). I don’t know how they compare side by side with this iPhone app … but $80 for a mobile app for any phone is ridiculously expensive. Boo on you IDG.
