Much to my chagrin, the rumored April release of the much anticipated ‘Cupcake’ update for Android OS appears to be just that… a rumor. A little frustrating when you consider T-Mobile has a way of ‘officially’ saying one thing, and then another thing comes true. Could be the bloggers out there reporting false stuff, could be T-Mo, or it could be a combination of the two. No matter which way you slice it, it’s frustrating for Android users for sure.
The latest in this ‘it’s coming’… ‘ok, it’s not coming’ drama includes a T-Mobile spokesperson noting that all this was an unconfirmed rumor and that there are absolutely no plans for an update ‘as far as I know’. Huh.
I’m now taking bets on when we’ll see Cupcake. Even money on April 2015.
