WorldMate Live, one of my favourite travel apps for BlackBerry (also available in S60 and Windows Mobile flavours) has had an impressive update lately, now plugging directly into the Google Maps application. After plugging in your itenerary details through their web interface, you can review everything on your mobile and launch right into navigation through a Map link in the app. WorldMate Live has been busy working on lots of other stuff lately too, including hotel booking by mobile. For those looking, an iPhone version of WorldMate Live is on the way, thanks to the new APIs unleashed in OS 3.0, so sit tight! Everyone else, head over to m.mobimate.com on your mobile browser to get started. Just be warned, it’s a freemium model, so some stuff will be locked away for their subscribing customers.
