windows-mobile-7-2Ever find yourself incredulous and excited at the same time. Then you’ll know how we felt when we stumbled across these alleged screenshots of Windows Mobile 7.

Following on a recent job posting from Microsoft that led us to believe that Microsoft was working to revamp Windows Mobile 7 and build it as a touch-optimized mobile OS from the ground up, WMPowerUser has posted screenshots of what is supposedly Windows Mobile 7.

Given that Microsoft is probably still in early-stage development of Windows Mobile 7, it’s hard to put a lot of faith into these images. Still, Microsoft may be playing around with initial UI design ideas, which could be what we’re looking at here.

Needless to say, we’re cautiously optimistic that Windows Mobile 7 will bear the same touch-friendly motif pictured here.
