I’m an avid golfer. In the spring, summer and fall I can often be found on the course playing a quick 9 or full 18 to take the edge off a solid day of work. With golf on the brain, I always get pumped come April… why?… Because my very favorite golf tournament of the year takes place, the Masters! This year it’s running April 6-12 in beautiful Augusta, Georgia (of course). In my anticipation of this years’ tourny, and with a thirst for more knowledge regarding the 2009 event, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Masters will very shortly have its very own iPhone app!

That’s right, you can get your hands on the Masters Tournament iPhone app to get up-to-the-minute scoring, live streaming video, and much more… all in the near future. With the tournament coming up on us fast, look for the app to launch in the App Store in the days to come. In the meantime, for more info on the Masters you can check out the main website, or head on over to this page for a few more details on the Masters Tournament iPhone app!

I’m extremely upset at the Augusta golf club for not making the app compatible with the iPod Touch! How dumb is that?!?!?

  • Daniel K

The app does with with the iPod Touch. It looks like the updated it yesterday based on the comments.

I just watched live player interviews and the quality was awesome on 3G and okay on Edge.

Great application for the Augusta National and the Masters.

    It works on Ipod Touch!

Yes but where’s the Android app?

  • James Falconer

Yeah, no Android love on this one… or BlackBerry for that matter… I’m hoping to see new versions for the 2011 edition!
