BlackBerry App World Seeing a Few Glitches

BlackBerry App World on Bold

So, I just got back from the CTIA Wireless 2009 keynote, sitting next to my buddy Al Sacco, and we compared copies of the BlackBerry App World between his BlackBerry Bold and my Telus Pearl Flip. Last night during the launch, I was hearing Viigo was making great headway through the App World, but I couldn’t find it anywhere in my version. As it turns out, that wasn’t the only inconsistency. Shazam’s music ID app was number one in my top downloads section, but Al couldn’t find it anywhere on his Bold. Whole categories are messed up, too: I had a grand total of five games showing up in my App World, and Al had over 100. Something is up – call it a rocky start, or issues of geography (since I’m roaming through a Canadian carrier), or simply an isolated glitch, but there’s a lot that I, and maybe others, have missed out on with the App World. Time to hit up the RIM booth and get some answers. Anyone else having problems?
