The Sony Ericsson Idou, announced at Mobile World Congress, could be landing in stores as soon as October or November according to German sources. The Idou’s biggest selling point would be its behemoth 12.1 megapixel camera with xenon flash, but it will also be hosting a new Symbian-based interface based a bit on UIQ and closely resembling Symbian 5th. Edition. A few preliminary specs include:
- Wi-Fi
- GPS
- 3.5″ TFT touchscreen
Whether or not the fall release date translates to North America as well is mostly a matter of wishful thinking right now, but we’ve all got our fingers crossed.
