att_sgh-a657_frontWhether you’re the outdoorsy, adventurous type or an accident-prone corporate employee, there’s nothing like a little military-grade rugged cellphone to do your bidding. It’s nice knowing that your mobile phone meets military-spec standards for dust, shock, vibration, rain, humidity, solar radiation, altitude and temperature extremes. The latest military-touch handset to hit AT&T is the new Samsung a657. With a rubberized monoblock form-factor and some decent features packed under the hood, the Samsung a657 might survive that river rafting trip you have planned for the summer.

The Samsung a657 is now available through AT&T business channels and brings with it a super-rugged exterior that houses a 3G data connection (HSDPA), GPS (AT&T NAvigator), microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP and an integrated flashlight. That last feature might just come in handy when you’re looking for the keys that you dropped in the pool.

Check with your AT&T rep to figure pricing on the rugged Samsung a657.
