The W995 we had toyed around with at CTIA has emerged from the FCC gauntlet, welcomed by scattered, half-hearted applause. The 8 megapixel camera certainly catches the eye, but aside from that, it’s just another slider. The FCC report is just a touch confusing as it doesn’t list any testing for the 850/1800/1900 MHz bands supported in North America, leading us to suspect this model is a European variant. North Americans are more likely to see the CS8 on T-Mobile first, which also lurched through the FCC recently.
