Belleperre has typically followed along Vertu’s established philosophy that you don’t have to make an expensive phone good-looking, just cram as many precious metals into it as possible. Belleperre’s latest model, though still brickish and ugly, has a modest brushed metal body, distinct from their gaudy yellow gold and rose gold models still available. You can pick from 118 different kinds of leather backing and six precious stones to pepper it. The specs aren’t bad:

  • Tri Band: 900/1800/1900 MHz
  • Stereo Bluetooth (A2DP)
  • JAVA, MP3, mini USB
  • Camera with Camcorder & Video Player
  • Windows Mobile
  • PC Outlook synchronisation
  • Email Alerts, MSN Messenger
  • Hands Free Calling
  • TFT Display: 176 X 220 pixels
  • Screen size: 2″ inch
  • Screen Glass: unscratchable Sapphire Crystal
  • Casing: Aluminium, Steel and Titanium
  • Keypad: Brushed Stainless Steel
  • Buttons: Carved out of Solid metal
  • Leather: Luxury Leather (highest standard)
  • Weight: 120 grams, Size: 100 x 44 x 15,5 mm

We have yet to hear about price, but you can bet it’s probably outside your range.
