Nokia has announced three internet-ready handsets destined for emerging markets, and will be pushing the Life Tools and Ovi Mail services launched in November. The only candybar of the bunch, the 2730 Classic, is also the only one packing 3G – it should be available in the third quarter for 80 Euros. The 2720 Fold will be launching around the same timeframe, but only going for 55 Euros, while the 7020 is a slightly fancier flip with a 2 megapixel camera and available in the fourth quarter for 90 Euros. There’s nothing especially earth-shattering about these handsets, but cheap hardware with helpful, practical services built in are a good way to keep a hold on emerging markets. Cost is also going to be the bottom line for Nokia’s smartphone front, where they’re quickly losing share to BlackBerry and iPhone.
