GMail for iPhone, Android gets better Labels support

Google has improved labels support for its GMail web app for Android and iPhone devices. The floaty bar now has a new option called “Label as…” which as you may guess for yourself, allows you to apply label(s) to any of the messages or remove existing labels.

This doesn’t mean you can manage labels — in order to create, rename or delete labels, you’ll need to visit a desktop version of the GMail — but even without labels management part, this is very useful if you’re a GMail fan like me.

In order to use the new version of GMail on your iPhone, you’ll need to have the latest iPhone OS running on your beloved handset – 2.2.1; while Android device owners are ready to go without any update. Simply point Safari/Android web browser to gmail.com and take it from there…
