
Yahoo has recently unveiled two new display advertising solutions as part of a new partner program which will marry Yahoo’s reach and targeting capabilities with third-party advertising technologies such as those offered by Teracent or Tumri. By doing so, the Internet company believes it’s offering an “open and unmatched solution” for reaching consumers with customized messages in North America. Based on the adoption of the new offering, Yahoo will consider expanding the service to other markets in the future.
At the same time, Yahoo also announced that it will soon start offering the so called Smart Ads technology through its partnership with Teracent. As a result, advertisers will be able to customize creatives to individual users in real time, using such factors as as location, time of day, local weather and more…
