Mobile 2.0 Europe

The second event I plan to attend in Barcelona is Mobile 2.0 Europe, which takes place from June 18 to 19th. The conference will cover six main themes: Openness, Beyond Free, Play, Cloud, Context and Sense. Or to put it in other words, everything that makes the buzz in the mobile world these days.

Each of the sections will have about an hour and half including a keynote on the topic, followed by a panel discussion by C-level industry experts from major European Operators, Venture Capital, Device Manufacturers, Startups, and Application or Service Providers.

Among the companies I see on the list are well known brands such as Sun, Yahoo, and Forum Nokia, as well as some smaller companies like smaato, GetJar, amiando, and betavine. Moreover speakers will include people from Dopplr, Zyb (now LBS at Vodafone), T-Mobile, TechCrunch, BuzzCity, VentureBeat, O2, Nokia, Mozilla, etc.

In addition to keynotes and panel discussions, the event will also host some startup demo presentations, which I’m particularly looking forward to watch…

You can see the full agenda of Mobile 2.0 Europe from this page, and while there you can also register for the event. See you in Barcelona! ;)

Dusan has been using smartphones since their introduction and is now following the latest trends in the industry. The "convergence" is what he's most excited about, and writing about it is the next logical thing to do. He thinks that using a smartphone is what everyone who cares about their time should do. In addition to his interests in mobile phones, Dusan also loves to experiment with the latest web and mobile 2.0 services. The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application. Dusan used to run SymbianWatch.com which later became part of IntoMobile. He lives in Serbia, South-East Europe, from where he edits the site on a daily basis.
