BlueAnt S1 Bluetooth car speakerphone

Company behind many of the popular Bluetooth accessories, BlueAnt, has recently unveiled its S1 car speakerphone. The easy to use device can be activated either by pressing a button when the phone rings, or by simply saying the word “Answer.” If you opt for the latter method, there’s no need to take your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road, making the ride safer, as a result. And the same goes for dialing, but here, your phone must support the option.

In addition, the S1 also comes with support for multipoint technology, allowing two devices to be connected to the speakerphone at the same time. Moreover, it can also work as a speaker for your music.

Installation and setup is as simple as clipping the speakerphone to the car sun visor and running through a short one time pairing process. From hereafter, the S1 will automatically reconnect to the phone the next time you get in the car.

Finally, you may wonder what’s the battery life of the BlueAnt S1. It can work for up to 15 hours in talk, and up to 800 hours in standby mode. More information is available from BlueAnt’s website.

Just bought one from Maplins (UK). Wanted a hands-free kit for some time, but couldn’t bear to part with the £60+ for a Parrot etc…

I have to say that for the £39.99 price tag this is an exceptional product. Does exactly what it said on the tin, even came with a full charge.

The only down side that I experience is that it’s still connected when I’m in my flat and the car is 10-15 meters away!!!!
