htc_logo-300x169Yesterday I published an article saying that the HTC Leo was going to be a clamshell qwerty device with a 5 megapixel camera and Qualcomm chipset. Apparently that was 66% right. It’s going to be a regular monoblock (aka iPhone form factor) device; the full specification sheet was leaked via ai.rs and it confirms the camera and CPU bits: 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM 8250, 4.3 inch capacitive touch screen with 480 x 800 resolution, Windows Mobile 6.5, quadband GDM/EDGE, dualband (900/2100 MHz) 7.2 Mbps HSPA, 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, 121 x 67 x 11 mm body, WiFi, GPS, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 1230 mAh battery. How in the world are you going to put a 4.3 inch screen device in your pocket is beyond me. I recently saw an HTC Touch HD in real life, which has a 3.8 inch screen, and it was shockingly huge. Some people already complain about the iPhone’s 3.5 inch screen, the Leo is almost 23% larger. Does bigger always = better? In this case, I’m going to have to say no.

If it had a kboard, you could justify it as a netbook replacement for the road warrior. Otherwise its just an overpriced pmp, and whats with the 1230mah battery?
