PAC-MAN Championship Edition goes mobile

PAC-MAN Championship Edition

Originally released for Xbox LIVE Arcade, PAC-MAN Championship Edition is coming to a mobile phone near you. Namco says that with the latest game the iconic character “tackles new, dynamically evolving mazes and six different game modes, all displayed in rich, detailed graphics with dazzling visual effects.”

Among the key features that go in line with those words are:

  • New mazes designed by Toru Iwatani, the creator of the original PAC-MAN game
  • Timed challenge modes
  • Integrated Facebook friends lists, and exchange of hi-scores and achievements
  • Improved cornering allowing PAC-MAN to take turns at speed
  • Six different game modes
  • Twelve achievement awards for completing tasks throughout the game
  • Online Global and Regional High Score leaderboard

For instance, in the Challenge Mode only the area directly around PAC-MAN and the ghosts are visible, whereas the maze walls are hidden…
