Files on Ovi, which has been rebranded Ovi Files it seems, now works for people who use a Mac. The service enables you to have cloud based storage, so you can access your files on whatever computer, and more importantly whatever mobile phone, you want. No more carrying around USB keys, no more emailing files to yourself, just type in a username and password and BOOM! you have your content. Mac users have probably been using something similar already for a long time, such as Dropbox, Box.net, Drop.io and let us not forget Apple’s own MobileMe service. Call me old school, but I still email files to myself, and I carry around not one, but two USB keys. If I need to send you a lot of big files, I just whip out the 320 GB external USB powered hard drive.

    Hi,

I am a regular Nokia user (based in Helsinki) and also actively using Ovi.

What really disappoints me about Ovi is lately the service availability. These days there webpage is giving error message for service being not available half of the time.

Seems like they do not have many users so nobody is complaining. But, if this would have come from an Internet company like Google etc…..it would be been for sure highly available service.

    Cheers
