David Owens, Sprint director of customer acquisition, let slip that a new Samsung device coming their way will be hosting an AMOLED display. Of course, we don’t have any other details, but considering the Samsung i7500 has an AMOLED display and we heard Sprint would be getting an Android phone this year, it’s a likely candidate. With it passing through the FCC recently, it certainly sounds like the i7500 is finding its way into the U.S. one way or the other. Even if it’s something entirely different, an AMOLED screen should provide some really great video and image viewing, no matter what device you slap it on.
