UberTwitter caused a bit of a ruckus last week when they turned ads ON in their Beta 4 update. Users were up-in-arms, demanding the ads be removed. Sure enough, less than a day later the developers pulled the ads and the storm passed by.
Now, the latest word I see via @UberTwiter is that the ads are going back ON again, but with one big difference… The ads will be displayed in the free version only. If you want to go ad-less, you’ll need to upgrade to a new premium version.
Should be interesting to see what happens when the new premium and free versions go live.
