The nice folks at Air Canada have released a free iPhone application that allows you to check in, be notified of changes, look up flight statuses, and even rent cars from your device. I’m not sure if it would win out over WorldMate Live when it comes to itineraries, but if you do a lot of travelling on Air Canada in particular, their app may very well do the trick – and hey, it’s free, so you’ve got nothing to lose by trying it out. Mobile check-in is awesome, and makes life a lot easier when wrestling with those kiosks, although airports and airlines are starting to wise up when it comes to mobile.  Hit up iTunes to download your Air Canada application, and if you’re rocking something other than an iPhone, they’ve got a web signal icon for BlackBerry, 2D boarding passes,  a mobile site and lots more.
