Earthworm Jim

Gameloft announced that it has secured rights to develop, distribute and publish Earthworm Jim games on mobile phones and popular consoles — not that we care about this part.

Those not familiar should know the game follows an earthworm who is dressed in a Super Suit to fight evil. It may sound stupid, but some time ago it was a mega popular game (actually a series of games), and has deserved its own Wikipedia page. Not to mention that there were animated TV series, toys and even Earthworm Jim comics!

As for the availability, Gameloft said it will release the game sometime in forth quarter of this year. No screenshots are available at this stage, but as soon as we catch something, you’ll be the first to know, k? ;)
